Johnny F. Taylor

Bishop Johnny F. Taylor was born on September 6, 1946, in West Point, Mississippi. It was under the leadership of Bishop Mackey that he made the decision to live for Christ while serving at The Wabasso Church of God. There, he met a beautiful, God-fearing woman, Orzie C. Myrick, and on March 27, 1966, they became one, and out of this union came six children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In 1972, Bishop Taylor moved his family to Fort Pierce, Florida, and joined Tabernacle Church of Deliverance where he faithfully served and spiritually matured for 20 years under the leadership of the late Bishop Harry Gordon. In 1981, he was ordained as an elder and appointed to the office of Assistant Pastor. In 1988, Bishop Taylor conceded the calling on his life to the Pastorate and founded Full Gospel Church of Deliverance. It was on a first Sunday in March of that same year that Bishop Taylor, along with his wife, their children, and his followers, opened the doors to their first worship as a congregation. He has since, earned his Doctorate in Theology; on November 19, 2017, he was affirmed and consecrated as Bishop in the church of God.

Bishop Taylor currently serves as the President of United Family Affair Fellowship, Inc. He is a man that loves the Lord and wholeheartedly brings the reverent, relevant message of the gospel to all that will hear. Bishop Taylor speaks with conviction and humility. He continues his aspiration to live out God’s mandate to “preach, teach, and make disciples.”
